From March 16th to 19th, 2024, CPEC organized international language and cultural exchange and charity donation for Yinjia Town Central Primary School in Enyang District, Bazhong City, Sichuan Province.
The main content of this event is international language and cultural exchange, as well as the donation ceremony for the completion of the suspended floor of the campus outdoor basketball court. CPEC specially invited Secretary Ma Tieshi of the Party Committee of the School of Sinology and Chinese Studies at Beijing Language and Culture University, as well as two foreign students (Luis, Mexican; Susanna, Armenian) to conduct on-site English internship teaching for ninth grade students at the school, and showed them rich and colorful foreign culture and customs. At the same time, two international students also observed the school's classes, learned Chinese, and learned about the rural education situation in China. Mr. Yang Jun, a representative of the Wuxi Municipal People's Congress in Jiangsu Province, the General Manager of Jiangsu Baifu Human Resources Co., Ltd. and Astor (Wuxi) Talent Development Co., Ltd., Mr. Liu Tiecheng, the Financial Director of Marathon (Beijing) Monitoring System Technology Co., Ltd. (US citizen), and CPEC participated in the donation.
After the donation ceremony, the international students joined a dragon dance performance; visited local rural families, had picnics with the students; and enjoyed the beautiful rapeseed flowers. During the discussion with the Secretary of the Party Branch of Xiasu Village in Yinjia Town, the guests learned that local party organizations have achieved many substantial results in improving the party building work of the masses.
The guests were warmly welcomed by all the teachers and students of the school. The event was a complete success.
This event got strong support from the Liaison Office of the People's Government of Bazhong City in Beijing and the Committee on Caring for the Next Generation of Bazhong.
Ms. Hao Jing, Secretary of the Party Branch of CPEC, and staffs from Beijing CPEC Inter Cultural Exchange Center participated in the whole event.
